Take action to test home's radon level


Illinois state senator Gary Forby is urging residents to test their homes for radon during January, which is Radon Action Month.

In a recently published study, the Illinois Emergency Management Agency found that homes in 24 counties had elevated radon levels in more than 1 out of 2 homes.

IEMA is offering free radon test kits as part of Radon Action Month.
